The Centre d’expertise en analyse environnementale du Québec (CEAEQ) management and staff have a clear commitment to the continuous improvement of service delivery to its clients. A quality coordinator under the direct authority of the CEAEQ’s Directeur général monitors the quality of the delivered products and services.

In order to remain active players in this competitive market, companies must maintain their expertise, standardize their practices, and continually improve their products and services. The tools developed within the framework of the International Standards Organization (ISO) provide these possibilities.

analyse environnementale du Québec has had ISO/IEC 170251 laboratory analysis and ISO/IEC 170432 proficiency testing accreditations from the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). |

These accreditations confirm that the CEAEQ has demonstrated its capacity for controlling its management system, which means that it employs staff with the appropriate skills and technical knowledge, possesses the required facilities and equipment for effective operations, and uses the applicable administrative procedures and effective quality control methods.
The CEAEQ relies on the requirements of the ISO/IEC 170113 international standard for the management of accreditation programs. Laboratories that are accredited in accordance with the Programme d’accréditation des laboratoires d’analyse (PALA) (Accreditation Program for Analysis Laboratories) must meet the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and of CEAEQ interpretation documents. Sampling firms that are accredited under the Programme d’accréditation d’échantillonnage environnemental (PAÉE) (Environmental Sampling Accreditation Program) must meet ISO/IEC 17025 sampling requirements.
For the production of reference materials and proficiency testing, the CEAEQ relies on the requirements of the ISO 170344 standard4.
